The 28-year-old (real name: Marius Lauber) hails from Cologne, Germany and has been perfecting his craft since he was a teenager. As for how he stays sane throughout a busy touring schedule, Roosevelt points to the beauty of going off the grid. “We got so dependent on our phones and navigation, that we forgot how it feels to truly experience a city that we don‘t know,” he says. “When I’m performing, I’ll leave the venue in the afternoon and wander around for a few hours.
